Using HP Array Configuration Utility CLI to break a mirror online

Hi.
This is my configuration:
I got 2 physical drives defined as RAID 1 (ld 1)
i want to break this mirror online to two RAID 0 drives

Can this be done?

You have two physical drives (1:0 and 1:1) in your RAID set.

The drive 1:1 has failed and cannot even report its serial number. It may be totally dead.

No command can give you two working RAID 0 disks in this situation: you can only get one RAID 0 disk and one failed disk.

If these two disks were installed at the same time, they are probably from the same manufacturing lot, and probably have very similar wearing properties. One of the two has already failed; the other might be very close to a failure as well.

My recommendation: if possible, replace the failed physicaldrive 1:1 and let the mirror rebuild itself. If you need more disk space, plug in one (or preferably two or three) new disks for added capacity. If you want performance, get an even number of new disks and use RAID 1; if your primary goal is capacity, get at least three disks and use RAID 5.

Use RAID 0 only if you need extreme performance *and* are prepared to totally rebuild the server if one of the disks fail.

Will i be able to accomplish this?

Didnt work wail disk 1 is out
ill bring it back in and rebuild and retry

anyone done that ever or helped anyone else to do this?

i run

after i returned the other disk
now its RAID 0 but expanding

how can i stop expanding and remove the second
physical drive to create another logical drive?
