Re: VM2.0 Guest
I agree with johnson for the extend question.
ivm 2 is old now and not really a good one, i really suggest you to upgrade to newer release.

Re: VM2.0 Guest
I've done it without any trouble, you just have to follow the documentation on the new version. The procedure is well documented and safe, from going from 2.0 to 3.0 or even 3.5 the FS won't crash and you can go thru this limitation.
1) Stop all the virtual machines on the host.
2) swremove old T2767 (I'm not sure that new version do it automatiquely)
3) Install new T2767 and dependances.
4) Upgrade VMMigrate and VMProvider
5) reboot the host.
6) update the HPVM-Guest, GuestAVIOStor, GuestAvioLan on all the guests.
All these steps are in the documentation.
For HPVM 3.5 :http://docs.hp.com/en/T2767-90105/ch02s03.html.
Take a look at the proper documentation related of the version you're going to install for selecting the steps needed as describe above.
Hope this helps.
