Virtual storage devices (disk or DVD) do not respond to I/O transactions or are otherwise inoperable.
Prevention and Treatment
Version 2.0 of Integrity VM supports up to 30 virtual storage devices per virtual machine. In the event that your virtual machine needs capacity provided by more than 30 LUNs, then you may have to consider combining some of LUNs into logical volumes on the VM Host and then using these logical
volumes to define your virtual disks.
In previous versions, the limit is 15 virtual storage devices per virtual machine. Note that in these releases the limit was not enforced, resulting in inadvertently creating configurations which exceeded the limit. Version 2.0 enforces this limit.

Hi,

On HPVM 3.0 a virtual machine can have up to 30 devices total (number of virtual and attached devices).
On HPVM 3.5 and HPVM 4.0 a virtual machine can have up to 30 VIO devices or up to 128 AVIO devices total (number of
virtual and attached devices).

I agree with Pat, just one thing more,
The AVIO is introduced on 3.5 and is supported with you release 11.23. HPVM 4.0 is only for 11.31

As per latest reply VM 3.5 will support 30 devices and 128 AVIO..What is the diff b/w VIO and AVIO ?

My OS is 11.23 ..how can i add another 10 more luns(PV) to my host ???is i upgrade to VM 3.5 ,is it possible ??your suggetions pls..

is it possible to upgrade from 11.23FOE to 11.23FOE december release ??..what is the procedure and after upgrade any impact on database/application ??...cant we upgrade from 11.23 septmber 2006 to 2007 relase with updating dcember 2007 patch bundles/product ???
