Veritas product for career

Hi
I am HPUX system admin, supporting from the last 6 years. I would like to go for veritas
volume manager and clustering training.

Is veritas command are same for all unix flavour (sun solaries,HPUX, linux etc) or its different on unix flavour. Because some training centres teaching on sun solaries instead of HPUX.

Is this product help to upgrade in career ?

Veritas tries and does a good job keeping the products you mention current across all platforms.

Hello,

Veritas products are very transparent across
operating systems. If you know, for example,
Veritas Volume Manager in HP-UX, you will
know it in Solaris, Linux and so on.

And yes, HP Education teaches it. In fact,
I am a Senior Instructor at HP Australia.
One of the courses I teach is Veritas
Volume Manager.

To be quite frank, I am amazed that most of
HP-UX admins know only LVM. For some reason,
many have no knowledge of VxVM!?
