Vgcfgbackup error

Recently I have taken over one system,When i try to do vgcfgbackup i get the following message."vgcfgbackup vg02
vgcfgbackup: /etc/lvmtab is out of date with the running kernel:Kernel indicates 3 disks for "/dev/vg02"; /etc/lvmtab has 2 disks.
Cannot proceed with backup."

I tried to export the VG & import it with another VG name but I did't get the answer problem persist.

Helping hands needed sirs...

sounds like your lvmtab is corrupted and needs to be rebuilt.

# mv /etc/lvmtab /etc/lvmtab.old
# /sbin/vgscan -av

Thanks for the reply , Issue resolved.

vgreduce -f /dev/vg02
PV with key 1 sucessfully deleted from vg /dev/vg02
Repair done, please do the following steps.....:
1. save /etc/lvmtab to another file
2. remove /etc/lvmtab
3. use vgscan(1m) -v to re-create /etc/lvmtab
4. NOW use vgcfgbackup(1m) to save the LVM setup
