Re: Virtual machines & systems
Quoting from the vPARS web page ( http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T1335BC ) :
"vPars enables multiple instances of the HP-UX 11i v2 Operating Environment (OE) to run simultaneously on one server or within one nPartition"

Solution
If you are talking about the new Integrity Virtual Machines:
http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/cache/262803-0-0-225-121.html
Then currently the answer is effectively yes, as the VM host is HP-UX and the only supported VM guest is HP-UX.
At some point next year though, HP will support Linux & Windows as VM guests. At that point you will be able to run HPUX as the host VM and HP-UX, Linux and Windows as guests, all in the same nPar.
This is of course only on Integrity servers, no HP9000/PA-RISC
