Vpars on 11.23

Hi Friends,

I have "BUNDLE11i B.11.23.0409.3 Required Patch Bundle for HP-UX 11i v2 (B.11.23), September 2004" installed on my Superdome server. So i couple of questions here regarding the same:

1. My server hardware supports NPARS but not sure whether VPARS would work on it with the given OS version? If not any ideas like when this is going to be available?

3. What is the scene for VPARS/NPARS on IA based Systems with the OS above.(What IA servers supports NPARS)?

4. Is HP planning to come up with the revised version of HPUX than the one given above (11iv2) in near future? If it is available from where i can download the BUNDLE?

I think i have ask enough question...:)

I believe that VPARS support on 11iV2 is not available yet. It is supposed to be release very soon but I haven't seen it yet.

IA/NPARS - don't know

11iV2 revision - don't know

Pete thanks for the quick reply.
But i heard (not sure) that 11iv2 on PA supports VPARS.
Just wanted to confirm that whether it is already there or about to come in future.

Regardless of platform (IA or PA), there is no VPAR support for 11iV2 as of yet:

vPars are not yet available on 11iv2 - either flavor.

vPars on 11iv2 (IA64 and PA-RISC) was scheduled for relase this month. However I understand this has now been pushed back to September.

Apparently it is already released for both PARISC and Itanic (if the following HP URL is tobe believed) vPars for v2.0 of HP-UX (aka 11.23):

Hmm. I think I will need to contact our HP rep. I've been anxiously awaiting this release sinc ewe use vPars quite extensively and this is preventing us from going to HP-UX 11i v2.0 (11.23).
