Hi,

We are using a user for whom we have shared the ssh keys. So that we will be able to scp via that user without prompting for password.

Its not getting scp today. When I tried to manually do it, I got the below errors while doing it.

WARNING: Your password has expired. Password change required but no TTY available.

We didn't set password for that user.
Please help.

Perhaps you should. It seems to be expired.
Did it ever work? Is this a newly created
user? (I'd guess that the password is
initially expired when the account is
created, so that the user will be forced to
set a new password the first time he logs
in.)

If this were a normal interactive session
(rsh/remsh, ssh, Telnet, ...) then the user
might have been prompted to set a new
password, but scp is not an interactive
session ("no TTY available"), so the server
can't ask the user to set a new password.

Check any password policies implemented in that server. That may be got effective and caught this user.

Yes you can check that through SAM ( the easiest way ).

#passwd -x 208

please find the logins -xl -l output
