Re: What means "sensor 10" this value?

Here are some more messages from your attachment:

Feb 24 01:25:35 snsmdb21 hpasmxld[7597]: Failed GET SENSOR READING, sensor 10

Explanation: hpasmxld was reading the hardware sensor 10 but it did not get a valid response from the monitoring hardware.

According to the "ipmitool -v sensor" command, "sensor 10" is apparently "Fan 2" speed sensor.
(note: ipmitool uses hexadecimal number but hpasmxld does not. 10 = 0xa.)

Feb 24 01:25:35 snsmdb21 hpasmxld[7597]: iLO 2 Communications Error - Attempting synchronization!

Explanation: hpasmxld begins a synchronization procedure to fix the problem automatically.

Feb 24 01:26:20 snsmdb21 hpasmxld[7597]: iLO 2 has responded to reset request . . .

Explanation: at this point, the synchronization procedure has sent a reset request to iLO2 monitoring hardware and the hardware is confirming it will reset itself.

Feb 24 01:26:20 snsmdb21 hpasmxld[7597]: Stopping the Watchdog Timer . . .

Explanation: hpasmxld stops the watchdog timer while iLO2 is resetting.

Feb 24 01:26:20 snsmdb21 hpasmxld[7597]: Resetting Internal Data structures . . .
Feb 24 01:26:20 snsmdb21 hpasmxld[7597]: Initializing Internal Data structures from iLO 2. . .

Explanation: after the reset, hpasmxld reinitializes some of its own data structures to synchronize with the iLO2 hardware.

Feb 24 01:26:21 snsmdb21 hpasmxld[7597]: The iLO 2 reset / synchronization has completed successfully

Explanation: synchronization is complete. The immediate problem has been fixed, and hpasmxld can again monitor all the hardware sensors.

If this happened just once, it should not be a cause for any major concern.

If this happens often, make sure your iLO2 firmware is up to date. If a firmware update does not help, maybe your iLO2 hardware has an intermittent fault.
