Where is the collect.sh script

I'm looking for the patch assessment script to run on my hp-ux 11.xx. I tried to ftp swainv from the run a patch assessment page but it just errors out.

Thanks,

Bob

Re: Where is the collect.sh script

Hi Bob:

You should fetch and install the Software Assistant Tool (SWA).

http://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B6834AA

I use a '.swa.conf' file that looks like:

user_dir = /var/opt/swa/.swa
analyzers = QPK CRIT PCW SEC
catalog_max_age = 0
inventory_max_age = 0
html_report = ~/.swa/report/swa_report.html
allow_existing_depot = false

...Thus, when I do:

# swa report

...my analysis is found in:

'~/.swa/report/swa_report.html'

Regards!

There is a new tool called software assistant it is a combination of Security Patch Check and the collect.sh tool for patch analysis.

And those who wish to do both will find that /opt/swa/lbin/swainv is handy!
