Which platform I should use to delploy Oracle Grid Controll Management

We have 4 Intanium production servers and used for Oracle RAC application.

Now it has been suggested to install Grid Control Management. Some feel we should use a Window server to install, and some others feel we should use one of 4 hpux nodes.

Which platform we really should use, what would be your considerations.

Thanks for your inputs.

Shalom,

I would install on Unix unless its bloatware and will slow down server performance.

If its bloatware, put it on the windows box, it will feel right at home.

I choose Unix because its more reliable and I like it better.

Re: Which platform I should use to delploy Oracle Grid Controll Management

I would choose Unix as well, preferably hpux, since all these 4 RAC nodes reside on hpux. However, we don't want to allocated another hpux for that.

Can I put it on one of 4 RAC nodes? or maybe on one of 2 dev nodes?

Please list your reasons, since I need to convince the management not to put on Windows, specifically for Grid Control Management, not just in the general sense.

Thanks,
