Why rp3440/HP-UX11iv2 sees only 2TB space on a 4TB LUN?

Hi All,

We just got a 4TB LUN (from HP StorageWorks 6400 Enterprise Virtual Array) connected to a rp3440/HP-UX11iv2 box and it reported only 2TB space on it. Why is that? Did I miss anything?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hi:

At 11.23 your physical volume limitation is 2TB.

Re: Why rp3440/HP-UX11iv2 sees only 2TB space on a 4TB LUN?

But this LUN has not been put under LVM's control (ie. I have not run pvcreate on it yet.). So I think is not a "physical volume" yet.

Thanks.

Shalom,

Most likely the volume group was not constructed correctly.

Check into doing: vgexport

vgcreate with the -p parameter set lower and/or the -s parameter set to a higher number
