Xen virtualization with SAN and EVA

Hi,

I create some virtual servers with XEN Virt-Manager. Now I want to configure each virtual server to access the EVA Storage through the SAN.
Please, What are the procedures?

Regards,

Re: Xen virtualization with SAN and EVA

Shalom,

Disk and LUNs are prepared on the host operating system and then presented to the guest.

Depending on hardware, fiber access is possible from the guest.

Is it possible to share or assign a fiber channel card to a RHEL5 Xen guest ?

Re: Xen virtualization with SAN and EVA

something like this in the vm.cfg file will get the VMguest direct access to the device

disk = ['phy:/dev/mapper/disk-data-1,xvda,w',]

read the docs for more info...

Thanks for your contributions.

I could not find vm.cfg.

I am using XEN.
In which configuration file can I add a new external storage LUN or partition to a virtual server ?

Re: Xen virtualization with SAN and EVA

I am using Oracle VM ...varies by flavor.
/OVS/running_pool/vm_name/vm.cfg

or perhaps

/etc/xen/vm_name

list of VMs can be found by "xm list"
