acctprc1 high cpu usage

Hello, Trying to resolve some preformance issues we are seeing acctprc1 process using large percentage of CPU, see below from Glance.

Top CPU user: PID 25940, acctprc1 83.9% cpu util
Active CPUs: 2

This is continous condition, that seems like a problem. Finding the documentation to be of little help.

We can disable accounting from cron, but would prefer to clean this up if possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Re: acctprc1 high cpu usage

Hi John,

We could do with a bit more information here...

Hardware ? Operating System ? etc.

You mention Glance... I could be wrong, but I don't recall that being a Tru64 UNIX product.

Cheers,

Rob

Re: acctprc1 high cpu usage

As far as I know, "glance" is a HP-UX stuff, and not TRU64.
Are you sure you are in right forum?
