We are using HPUx11iv3 OS and HP IVM 4.10.
We created two virtual machines also. Now i want to assign two HBA ports to each virtual machines. Is it possible. If it is possible somebody can help me for the same.

Laiju

SolutionYou can assign devices (disk LUNs, tape LUNs etc.) that are presented to the VM host through the HBA, but you cannot assign the whole HBA to a HPVM.
I believe future versions of HPVM may offer this functionality by leveraging the NPIV capabilities of modern SANs/HBAs - but right now you need to just present the disks themselves.

Re: allocating HBA port for a hp Integrity virtual machine
Its not possible to add HBA and allocation disks directly to VMs.
You can allocate disks to VMhost and then you can assign the disks,files or raw lvol to VMs in for of disks.
For Ex :
Command for lvol type disk allocation to VM number 2
hpvmmodify -p 2 -a disk:avio_stor::lv:/dev/vgxxx/rlvol1
