assigning filesystem access to a user in HPUX

hi guys,

If i want to give the access (r/w/r&w) to a file system (which is in VG01 volume group)for a particular user how to do that.please help me.

apply ACL (access control list).

You can also change the top directory so it is owned by that user and then he can do anything he likes there.

You do permissions at the file/directory level not at the filesystem level unless you want them to be able to mount or unmount them and you probably do not want that. Just use file and directory permissions.
