Simpler Navigation coming for Servers and Operating Systems
Coming soon: a much simpler Servers and Operating Systems section of the Community. We will combine many of the older boards, and you won't have to click through so many levels to get at the information you need. If you are looking for an older board and do not find it, check the consolidated boards, as the posts are still there.

bgssd ?

I have a daemon that was flagged in a security audit, and I have no idea what it is.
Any help appreciated. It was flagged as a daemon with an invalid path.

Service Protocol Uid Executable name
==============================================
bgssd tcp 527649 /etc/bgs/SD/bgssd.exe

Any idea why it was flagged or what it is?

Re: bgssd ?

Hi Robert:

It would appear that you have BMC's Patrol installed:
