binary.errlog file getting bigger

Dear all,
I have a GS140 that run on Tru64 and i have noted that the (binary.errlog) file is getting bigger for no reason so i removed the file and restart the machine .
The operating system made another file and begin in filling it.

I used the below command to read the file :
uerf -f /usr/var/adm/binary.errlog

But i didn't understand whats wrong, so could and body help me figuring whats wrong

the txt file is attached and in the bottom there is two (ls -l) command showing the size of the file getting bigger.

Hi,

Close on 400 SCSI errors is more than likely the cause of the binary.errlog filling up.

Are you seeing any errors on your HSG80 storage system ?

we have a storageworks 12000 and we are facing a problem in cache battery (they need to be changed).
do u think thats the problem !!!!

Yes. More than likely.

Storage systems like the ESA12000 with HSG80 controllers, do strange things when their batteries have failed.

Hello Mohamed,
Is it filling up real fast.
If YES,
Open h/w case with HP and they would find out if there is some problem with hardware.

If NO,
and it is filling up slowly then u can re create this file by
kill -USR1 `cat /var/run/binlogd.pid`

And yes battery could create problem , even any sort of hardware issue will fill up errlog file.
