Re: cache size

Z,
Try the command:

psrinfo -v

Status of processor 8 as of: 08/29/04 13:39:02
Processor has been on-line since 08/17/2004 14:45:32
The alpha EV6 (21264) processor operates at 524 MHz,
has a cache size of 4194304 bytes,
and has an alpha internal floating point processor.

Re: cache size

the L1 cache depend on the Alpha cpu type, so it may be worth to use the psrinfo output to check the alpha cpu information tables within the internet.

Hi Ziad,
as Ralph says the cache depend by cpu type.I have in office an alphaserver ES45.It has ev6.8 microprocessor with 64KB of chache on the chip.It is two ways, set associative, virtually addressed cache that has 64-byte blocks.
