can not enter under root hp-ux on vpar

Hello. I have a big problem. Can not login as root user in the console HP-UX 11 v.3 on vpar. Loaded in single mode and made passwd root, and looked config / etc / nsswitch.conf

passwd: files
group: files
hosts: files dns
ipnodes: files
networks: files
protocols: files
rpc: files
publickey: files
netgroup: files
automount: files
aliases: files
services: files

In the console you are prompted to enter login and password. I enter login root and password of root. Nothing happens for about 40 seconds nothing happens, then there is a new invitation to enter login and password. I enter my password incorrectly as root, all the same.

Boot the Vpar into Single Mode

Once Booted into the Single Mode.

1> Mount all the file System
mountall

2> If your System is trusted you can Change the system to untrusted mode.
/usr/lbin/tsconvert -r

3> Then edit the file /tcb/files/auth/r/root
make the passwd field null

4> Then reset the password
passwd root

5> Once you have reset the password you can turn the system to the Trusted mode
/usr/lbin/tsconvert -c

From the question it seems that the problem is with logging into console..Are you able to login to the server using either the ip/hostname, from other server..

sometimes console login will not accept character like @

so change the pwd to just ABcd_123
