can't convert trusted system on HP-UX 11.31 with PHI package
Hi all,
I'm faced issue to enable trusted system with error
"The attempt to convert this system to a trusted system failed. The command return value was "-1" and the standard error output was: The system cannot be converted while shadow passwords are in use."
After use "pwunconv" command to un-convert shadows file but error told me to remove PHI software.
After try to remove PHI software its warn me that can't remove cause will effect with user.
Anyone can help me this issue.

Re: can't convert trusted system on HP-UX 11.31 with PHI package
PHI = Password Hash Infrastructure, right?
> After try to remove PHI software its warn me that can't remove cause will effect with user.
This simply means you must give new passwords to your users after removing PHI.
This is because any passwords that are already set using the new hash algorithm will no longer work if PHI is removed, and the PHI removal process cannot "convert" the encrypted passwords from the new hash algorithm to the old, because the hash algorithm is not reversible.
