changing maxssiz changes the maxdsiz_64bit back to default
We are upgrading Oracle on some of our HP-UX 11.31 Servers.
We have been tuning some of the kernel parameters.
First we set maxdsiz_64bit=2147483648 and then we set maxssiz=134217728 along with few other kernel parameter as per Oracle recommendation.
Afer reboot the value of maxdsiz_64bit is changing back to default, we found maxssiz is inter related with maxdsiz_64bit from the man page.
Is it because we are setting maxdsiz_64bit first or is there something else which is causing this problem?

Re: changing maxssiz changes the maxdsiz_64bit back to default
It's hard to believe there is any connection between the two except the 32 bit value must be smaller than the 64 bit value.
After you change it, what does this show: kctune maxssiz maxssiz_64bit
