cluster install pbm

I want to implement a cluster redhat linux5. I currently use the approach outlined in the redhat site. But there is some information that I can not find (the prerequisites; requirements).
I want a complete documentation with the configuration of networks, DNS, HOSTS files (step by step). At what point should we set all these steps?
Does anyone has a procedure he has done himself?
