Re: cluster lock failure

Thanks Michel,

My case is different.

the device file(/dev/dsk/c16t0d1) is not showing by running ioscan -fnC disk and no entry is avalabe for this in lvmtab file.
Please guide further

Re: cluster lock failure

That would probably mean that the disk c16t0d1 has been removed from the system for some reason. Since when you have been getting this error?

Re: cluster lock failure

Hi,

I can see thats a storage LUN, Contact your Storage people.

Are you able to see thes disk from the other node???

Re: cluster lock failure

hi,

yes you are right. This is a storage LUN.
I am not able to see this PV/LUN on other side. but this PV is persent in the .asci file of cluster on affected node.

But on other node the entry of this PV is not available in .ascii file.

this error comming since last 2 months but nobody noticed this.

Re: cluster lock failure

Hi Irshad,

May be that the LUN c16t0d1 has been removed from the cluster. You can re-configure the lock disk using the below steps.
- identify alternate LUN which is accessible to both the nodes
- Update the cluster ASCII file with the corresponding device files on each of these nodes as well as lock VG to point alternate LUN and VG
- Take down the cluster
- Apply the new configuration using cmapplyconf.

This would make the identified LUN as the cluster lock disk and then you should not be seeing those errors in the syslog.

Re: cluster lock failure

Thanks Venkata and all,

I had a word with storage team and got to know that they made some changes on storage.
Now I'll take the downtime from customer and correct the cluster's .ascii file.

Thanks to all for valuable time
