console getting closed

after enterning the ip-address of hp-ux server in putty the sessions closes automatically.

Open putty
before entring ip address look at the last line on that window (right side). DO you see the words saying "close window on exit", select never and then enter the ip address. At least, the wondow will not close and you will see why you got disconnected from the system.
