control device?

OPEN-E means it is from XP disk array and HSV200 is from EVA when I do an ioscan –fnC disk… So what about HP DISK-SUBSYSTEM



disk 177 10/0/2/1/0.1.26.0.1.13.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP DISK-SUBSYSTEM


I was told That is a crontrol device. What does that mean

Shalom,

It is probably either the disk array itself if no LUN0 is assigned to the server, or a disk controller. In this case I think the disk array itself showing up as a disk.
