I typed the following command few minutes ago, what would be the result of the command. pls help me, i am not a sys admin.
#dd if=/dev/dsk/c1t1d0s2 of=/dev/null bs=4k

SolutionThe command will copy raw blocks fro
your disk into "bit bucket" and
it will take a very long time due to your small
block size of 4 KB.
In other words, you are, in a very simple
way, checking if slice 2 of a boot disk
has some read errors.
