/dev/vol/rootdg/vol-dsk0g cannot be opened

Hi,
The Pb is that the system crash when booting, even if we try from mirrored disk then we get the same error for both dka0 & dka100 " /dev/vol/rootdg/vol-dsk0g is an invalid device or cannot be opened" .
The os is tru64 V5.1B
The systm is an Alphaserver DS 15.

Any help would be appreciate .

Thanks.

Sorry for late reply.
Guess you allready fixed the problem.
If not then:
1. Can you boot to single user mode?
2. post output of:
# cat /etc/volboot
# volprint rootdg
# disklabel -r dsk0
You may have faulty disk.
