device file problem,

Hi,

After reboot my filesystem(c03) not there

Wheni try mount

#mount -F vxfs /dev/ORAVG02/c03 /c03

mount: /dev/ORAVG02/c03: No such file or directory

When i go to under/dev/ORAVG02 dir

there is no device file ?

ll /dev/ORAVG02

total 0 crw-rw-rw-   1 root       sys         64 0x080000 May 26  2011 group

How can recover it?

How can again mount it  and recover my c03 filesystem?

Thanks

Do you know how it was lost?

Do you have an ignite backup of your system?  If so, it would be easy to restore.

Re: device file problem

You need to activate volume group ORAVG02.

Hope this helps!

Re: device file problem

This is strange. lvmtab is showing 3 disks, vgdisplay only 2.

There is no special file for any LVOL.

Please post

# vgdisplay -v /dev/ORAVG02

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
