disable first-boot configurator

Hi,

on a brand new ia64 rx, I got the HP/UX first-boot configurator (timezone, language and basic network configuration).

But instead of getting it just once, it pops-up again at each boot! Is that normal (I don't remember so)? How to disable it?

Thanks

Sounds like "set_parms" is imbedded in the rc scripts somewhere. Try using find to seek it out:

find /sbin/init.d -exec grep -l "set_parms" {} \;

Re: disable first-boot configurator

I found the answer myself (thanks set_params manual). It is executed when the hostname is not set (defaults to unknown)
