Re: diskinfo o/p help
But just came to know from the Remotre Datacenter Operation guy that it is a MSA Storage connected through Fibre Channel Switch to my Blade Server.
Now I have another question. IF I get login to this MSA Storage how can i verify that the disks created in this MSA box are used in which Server..
Because i see all the disks/luns in this MSA Storage are seen from all my 8 Bade Servers. How can i distinguish which disks/luns are free now.. because as far as this storage is concerened i will not have ny tools like evainfo or xpinfo to cross check the data from my server and Storage .
Please help on this.Any links will be appreciated.

b) Unfortunately, but just like any electronic product, to get more information you have to physically inspect the back of the drive and read of the s/n and product number from the manufacturer's stamp.
c) Or, you can use CSTM.
echo 'map;selclass type disk;info;infolog'|cstm|egrep -i 'serial|disk|number'
-or-
print "selclass type disk;info;wait;infolog" | /usr/sbin/cstm
Product Number.......: AG637A
d) Cross reference by product number with HP Part Surfer

e) MSA Smart Arrays are for Windows and Linux boxes - They run on HP C- Class

Re: diskinfo o/p help
Are all systems in question run hp-ux?
Please clarify!
Just in case of a MSA2000 (G3?) - with a wrong mapping you present each LUN to each server - did you do this? Check from SMU!
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
