there is a process called dm_memory takes lot of cpu - can i kill the process

Solution
It is a part of EMS (Event Monitoring System) and EMS Is known to be a resource hog if it is not installed/configured correctly or not patched regularly. Stop-gap measure is to stop and restart ems using :
/sbin/init.d/ems stop
/sbin/init.d/ems start
Hope this helps, but make sure you have the right version of EMS and patch it so that you do not come to this restart process frequently.
