does changing file-system mount directory path make data lost?

does changing file-system mount directory path make data lost?

I want to change mount directory path from /tmp/NW to /opt/NW in fstab. Vg and Lv are the same.

can I access to all data from new path or will data lost occurs?

No problem, just umount and mount again.

no, you can give to the m.p. the name you like without loss of data...you have just to remount it...that's it.

hi cbozlagan,

before rename the fs,you should unmount the fs.then you can rename.after that you should mount the fs.it is for hp 10.X.
