Re: error while installing the patch bundle
Begin by restarting the swagent daemon. Do:
# swagentd -r
Make sure that your server's hostname appears in your '/etc/hosts' along with its fully qualified domain name as an alias.
Regards!

Re: error while installing the patch bundle
you can do as :-
# swinstall -s
If not succeeded, then try it after restarting the swagentd daemon. But make sure, you must have the your FQDN in the /etc/hosts file.

Re: error while installing the patch bundle
check whether the CD rom is properly mounted or not if so it will show error,or if you are trying to install from a non root directory as if /tmp( in which the depot is copied)
restart the swagent daemon and
use swinstall -s
The above command will start the installation process
you can use SAM also for the same purpose

Re: error while installing the patch bundle
first try previwing the install rather than direct installs. the preview will let you know if any pre-reqs are needed and if there is a reboot needed.
the preview doesn't install, but always useful to know what it does when you actually install without the -p option
swinstall -p -s /opt/software/your-patch-name PATCH-NAME
