/etc/group group description

Hi All,

In line with our auditing and security purposes, can somebody help me the complete description and purpose of each group in /etc/group.
When asked by our auditor, i just tell that it is there by default. :)

Can we describe each group what are their role/s? in the system?

Oh btw, its HP-UX 11.23

thanks!

Shalom,

Many common configuration files have their own man pages: http://docs.hp.com/en/B3921-90010/group.4.html
