export disks/VG/LV from one server to another (no cluster)

In a non cluster environment, I need to move oracle LV's from one Server A (hpux 11.11 )server to another Server B( hpux 11.11) server . Server A lease is expiring and so need to move luns.
I believe vgexport/vgimport would do the trick since both servers can see the same luns.
Will Server A on this work. Do I need to put s in pvs since this is not shared.

vgexport -pvs -m map.vg01 /dev/vg01

Re: export disks/VG/LV from one server to another (no cluster)

Just export the VG map on server A:

#vgexport -p -m vg01.map /dev/vg01

and on the second node:
1. create VG group node:
#mkdir /dev/vg01
#mknod /dev/vg01/group c 64 0xXX0000
where XX is unique for server B

and import the VG:
#vgimport -m vg01.map /dev/vg01

After that create mountpoints, activate VG and mount the logical volumes.

Thanks Ivan. I just had to deactive vg on one node and activate on another but your steps are correct.
