failed partition

Hi Admins,
hsg80,v8.7f
I configure the :
mirror set of two disks,and partition it to 4 partitions as in attached file,
what can i do if one partition is damaged,
please advise.

I do not think I understand the question.
Every partition is separated unit so you may use different partitions from different hosts. If problem is hardware related (both drive fail), backup restore is the only solution. Otherwise, it depends of OS.

From the storage perspective, is hard to damage only one partition, if one disk fails, all partitions in that storageset will be degraded, you must replace the failed disk.

There could be situations, where the Unit (the partition) cannot be activated because there is ivalid data after a storage crash. In that case, you should use the command:

clear UNIT_NUMBER lost_data
clear UNIT_NUMBER unwriteable_data

If one partition is damaged at the OS level, you must restore the data from a backup.
