I have observed the below error in fbackup.log file.
fbackup(3003): normal EOT
fbackup(3310): enter '^[yY]' when volume 2 is ready on /dev/rmt/0m,
or '^[nN]' to discontinue:
fbackup(3004): writer aborting
fbackup(1002): Backup did not complete : Reader or Writer process exit
Looks file the tape is full. Can you please suggest me how to proceed on this?
Is it possible to restore the data from the tape which is full?

Solution
The backup has not completed because you are backing up more data than will fit on the tape. fbackup paused to ask the operator to change tape. However, this backup was run as a batch or cron job so there is not operator and the backup terminated without finishing the backup.
> Looks file the tape is full.
Correct.
> Can you please suggest me how to proceed on this?
Reduce the scope of the backup (less files) or start the backup and wait until it asks for another tape. Change tapes then answer "y" to continue the backup.
> Is it possible to restore the data from the tape which is full?
Yes, everything that was stored on the tape can be recovered. Anything that was still waiting for backup when fbackup terminated does not exist on tape.
