fbackup(4003): semaphore op failed: op=-1

From time to time I find this message in my fbackup log file. How can I avoit this message and what does it mean?

Re: fbackup(4003): semaphore op failed: op=-1

==> looks like this message would be an error for Request of tape to continue backup or End of Tape which logs such issue. Please try the following

1. Ensure that the data backed up fits in to a tape. after inserting the tape manually type #mt -f /dev/rmt/0mn rewind and then let the backup proceed.

You need to monitor this along , by checking the logs for the status of the backup completion.

Shalom,

Looks like a problem with the tape or tape drive.

Make sure the tape is good, write protect tab not set and the size of the backup does not exceed the tape capacity.

Re: fbackup(4003): semaphore op failed: op=-1

There is a DAT 36GB/72GB in stalled with a 36GB tape inserted and we backup 39GB on data only. I get this message in combination with:

fbackup(9999): Read-only file system
fbackup(4003): semaphore op failed: op=-1

And I get it in the middle of the process at file number 619328 while the total backup saves 963799 files. The end of my logfile looks like this:

963799: ./vg12 1
fbackup(1005): run time: 7935 seconds
fbackup(1030): warnings encountered during backup
fbackup(3055): total file blocks read for backup: 81450224
fbackup(3056): total blocks written to output file /dev/rmt/0m: 85006085
