fbackup block size
We are running backup in HPUNIX box, I want to know size of the total data backed up in each day.
As per the log the size is reflected in тАЬblocksтАЭ NOT in KB or byte.
Anybody know how to calculate the total size please he us.
Eg
Total Size = 634094893 blocks
1 block = ? KB
Last part of the Backup Log File
================================
610895: /w/work/sql24553.tmp 0
610896: /w/work/sql26997.tmp 0
610897: /w/work/sql27945.tmp 0
610898: /w/work/sql6746.tmp 0
610899: /w/work/sql9432.tmp 0
610900: /w/work2 1
fbackup(1005): run time: 10665 seconds
fbackup(1030): warnings encountered during backup
fbackup(3055): total file blocks read for backup: 631597273
fbackup(3056): total blocks written to output file /dev/rmt/0m: 634094893
Thanks in advance

Re: fbackup block size
If you do a man on fbackup, it indicates that is assumes a block is 1024 bytes.

Re: fbackup block size
I'm glad it's documented. Otherwise it is in useless 512 byte blocks.
