fbackup no found on Ultrium 460

fbackup on Ultrium 460 present error 3038 the outfile /dev/rmt/0m is not a valide device file for backup.

Whit tar command found.

Firstly , you must install the latest stape patch for HP-UX 11i for fbackup to recognize supported Ultrium drives.
Secondly, is this an HP drive? If not then you may not be able to use fbackup with it.

I believe the command "magtape type" can be used if fbackup recognises the device. If this command does not pass back the name of the device, fbackup probably will not work.
