can we take an fbackup on 11.31 and recover that on 11.23 system .
i am getting the warning of magic number and prompts for salvaging the magic number and past that warning for the new mtime but past that i am able to frecover.
i am attaching the screen shot that frecover was possible...
just wanted to know what are the type of files that might get affetced while restoring using frecover to 11.23 or prior systems .
fbackup(1M) on 11.31 talks about these warnings.
Regards
sujit

The problem isn't just the type of file but the type of the archive. I'm surprised that you were able to frecover some files.
