Hi, i did find some fibre cards and would like to install on rp5470 running 11.0. do you know if it is possible.
model rp5470.
os: 11.0
card: EMULEX
and all i can see on the stick on the card is:
EM212-L3TA
ps. i did post this entry in another itrc group by mistake.

Hi Antonio:
These are your options for either a 2 GB or a 1 GB fibre channel HBA PCI I/O adaptor for the discontinued rp5400 series of servers. Note the product numbers are A6826A and A6795A. These are the product numbers that you'll have to use when googling on the internet.
PCI-X Dual Channel 2Gb Fibre Channel HBA A6826A
PCI 2Gb single port fibre channel adapter A6795A
Here is the spec.'s link to the rp5400's.

Re: fibre card on rp5470
Support for certain Emulex-based HBAs has been added by HP starting with HP-UX 11i v2 (11.23) on HP Integrity servers. See http://docs.hp.com/en/FCN-SM/FCN-SM.htm and look for the FibrChanl-02 software bundle.
There is also an HP-UX driver supported directly by Emulex at http://www.emulex.com/support/hpux/index.jsp
