fixing BDRA
Hi..
Please tell me hos to fix BDRA using lvm maintanece mode..
I heard that if BDRA fails cant boot the system to single user mode..

BDRA is the boot disk reserved area. Simplistically, it's the lif area that says these are boot disks.
The best thing is to make sure that your boot disk is mirrored to another disk that has been set up as a boot disk (i.e. alternate boot disk).
Here is a thread that points you to the Ignite-UX Admin Guide and explains to you how to rebuild the bootlif/os using core media:

..ps I found this by simply doing a SEARCH for 'bdra' and selecting Engineering Notes, Manuals, & White papers

Hi,
Try booting to a recovery shell from Ignite or O.S media and from there you will be able to repair your curropted BDRA by updating the pointers to the BDRA but first you will have to chroot to /ROOT and activate your volume group.
