"The" device file depends on what you plan to
do with it.
"ls -l /dev/*disk/flop*"?

/dev/[r]disk/floppy*
To use the DOS mtools (mdir, mformat etc) you need to create a link /dev/disk/floppy
pointing to eg: /dev/disk/floppy0c
