fsck issue
last week i am working on itanium server from remote place thru putty suddenly i am not able save anything after that i exit again login thru putty but this time i am not able to access the server. I went through management port and rebooted the server their i find out
error: /dev/VolGroup00/LogVo104 unexpected inconsistency run fsck manually
why this error came suddenly while working on the system?

can you check /var/adm/messages,
any disk faulty ,
can you do # vgdisplay -v /dev/VolGroup00 |more

what Linux version are you running...?
#debugfs -w /dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 -R "features ^resize_inode"
#e2fsck
