ftp : getting Netout :Software caused connection abort

Hi,

I am sending a huge tar file from windows to hp9000 rp3410 server.

After 31.91 seconds of data transfer, I am getting the error below:

> Netout :Software caused connection abort
452 Error writing file: Error 0.
ftp: 31325730 bytes sent in 31.91Seconds 981.78Kbytes/sec.
ftp> bye
221 Goodbye.

Any ideas why ?

Shalom,

Check the file fize after failure and if its around 2 GB check that largefiles is enabled on the target filesystem.

Its not clear what client you are using.

Is this command line ftp?

Check /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log for errors.

Perhaps try sftp for grins.

What is the size of the file you are sending. Are you using any utility of doing from command line?
