ftp problem
I had created a user for ftp. I had added the users entry in /etc/ftpd/ftphosts file too. From remote server i can able to ftp. The problem is after doing ftp as that user i am getting the home dir /. I had assgined /inst/in/in as the home dir in /etc/passwd.
Kindly let me know the reason as why i am not getting the home dir?
Thanks

Re: ftp problem
Check that the permissions are correct for the user's home dir (must be at least u+rx and chown'ed by the user).

Re: ftp problem
Hi Paul,
Do we need to make any modifications in /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess?
I had put an entry for this users in /etc/ftpd/ftphosts file.

Jadesh-
We have used the documents in the attached zip file for setting up what you are doing.
They are straight forward.
Best of luck.
