Hi,
I was assigned the job to clean out the basement of our institute and sell a couple of alpha-pcs runnning tru64. Unfortunately, the hardware configuration of said machines is unknown, and I am not familiar with tru64 at all, so I don't know which commands to use to get information about the hardware.
Can anybody help me with this (rather trivial, if you know the OS) task?
Thanks,
Philipp

Re: getting hardware information on tru64
Hi Philipp,
Welcome to the ITRC forums.
You can normally get most hardware configuration without going into the OS.
On powering on the machines should get to a prompt similar to >>>
At this prompt you can try entering
show config
That should give you a good breakdown of the hardware. If it scrolls off the screen try
show config | more
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob
