hdd notification
Proliant DL30 & SLES9
Hi,
How can you get notified if any hdd crashed? Does the BIOS tells your OS and a program on your OS must do the rest? We search SLES9, but did not find any such programs..yet.
Thx,
Francois

Re: hdd notification
Install the PSP, it has agents of which monitor various aspects of the server, including the RAID array:

What model of Proliant do you have again? DL30 is a digit short ;)
Using the 'Driver Downloads' link, type in the model number ('DL380' for instance), click the appropraite machine, select the OS, and download the PSP (Proliant Support Pack).

Re: hdd notification
ProLiant Support Pack is what you need for this purpose. It installs hardware and health monitoring tools in your system and you can check the system status using browser.
Install PSP and you can access the PSP webconsle bye opening the url http://
Hope this helps,
Gopi
